Book lovers, writers and readers are invited to the annual Chattanooga Readers and Writers Fair. 

The Chattanooga Writers Guild and the City of Chattanooga Office of Multicultural Affairs have announced the 2018 fair will take place June 23 at the Chattanooga Public Library.

A variety of events are scheduled throughout the day from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Events will be held in the main floor auditorium, 2nd-floor children’s activities, 4th-floor vendor booths with readings and more.


Local authors and writing-related organizations are encouraged to sign-up for tables. A $25 fee is required to reserve a space. More information is here.

A schedule of programming is below:

11 a.m.: Matthew Hubbard, Paul Luikart, Sybil Baker, MC Starr Lowe

1 p.m.: Helga Kidder, Josiah Golson, Finn Bille, MC John Mannone;

2 p.m.: Dana Shavin, Sarah Einstein, Amber Lanier Nagel, MC Christopher Chaney

3 p.m.: Carla Elliot aka Poetess Phenomenal C, and Jody Harris, Peggy Douglas, MC and presenter Christian Collier

An open-mic will be in the library plaza from 12 to 1 p.m. Food trucks and vendor carts will be on-site.
