Billed as an event “for smokers by vapers,” the Vapers Carnivale Expo visits the Chattanooga Convention Center this weekend.

Tickets are $10 and include access for public hours between 1 and 6 p.m. on Saturday and 1 and 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The ticket includes a $1.00 sampling fee and the balance goes directly to attending advocacy organizations.

More information is here.

According to the event page, the weekend is a “multitiered approach to attracting smokers and vapers to our celebration of tobacco harm reduction.”

“From inception to completion, our mission is to change the narrative of your typical vape convention and bring this industry back to its roots. It is our mission to integrate advocacy efforts with our exciting entertainment as well as support smokers transitioning to a smoke-free lifestyle.”

Current cigarette smokers can register for a special starter kit to encourage transitioning to a smoke-free lifestyle. Brand ambassadors from a variety of promotional partners will be at the event to answer questions about the lifestyle, guiding you to vendors who provide devices and e-liquids that are designed for the needs of the smoker.

Vendors include name brand e-cigarette and vaporizer companies like AVAIL, Cloud Chasers Inc., Vape Guys, Rounds, Nasty Juice, Strictly E-cig, Mr. Salt-E, Blu and more.

E-cigarettes are “battery operated inhalers that consist of a rechargeable battery and a cartridge that lights up when you puff on the device,” delivering water vapor and nicotine. A variety of flavors and styles of e-cigarettes are available.

Proponents believe the lack of carcinogens and second-hand smoke are beneficial to those seeking a healthier alternative to tobacco products, or those seeking to eliminate tobacco use altogether.
