A former UTC football player is set to appear on the 20th season of the reality show, “Big Brother.”

Former University of Tennessee at Chattanooga two-time All-American tight end Faysal Shafaat, who started every year between 2011 and 2014, will be on the show, which is set to premiere on June 27 at 8 p.m.

The CBS reality game show follows a group of contestants, known as “house guests” who live together in a custom-built home that’s under constant surveillance.

The contestants compete to win $500,000 while being isolated from the outside world. They face off in weekly competitions and can face eviction from the house.

Shafaat graduated from UTC in December 2014 with a degree in psychology.

His senior year he made 34 catches for 415 yards and five touchdowns, earning third-team All-American recognition from The Associated Press.

He also made the dean’s list, the SoCon Honor Roll and earned the SoCon Commissioner’s Medal that same season.

Last summer, he competed on American Ninja Warrior.
