A part of the famous Elephant 6 Collective, of Montreal is the brainchild of singer and multi-instrumentalist Kevin Barnes.
The band well-regarded for elaborate stage shows; and Barnes is noted for his lyrics, often dark, on themes of French literature, cinema and mythology. This tour will focus on the aftermath of the “White is Relic/Irrealis Mood” project.
“I feel like a switch was recently turned on in my brain and now I’m beginning to see through the lies that have been fed to me my whole life by the masters of media and by those who control and manipulate the narrative of our cultural identity and social order,” Barnes said. “My paranoia began during the presidential election cycle and reached a dangerous peak shortly after the inauguration.”
The Reptaliens are “inspired by sci-fi art, cult mentality and deep connections.” The group is a project of exploration in pop culture.
