Two of the quintessential elements of Chattanooga converge later this month at the Chattanooga Choo-Choo.
The inaugural Rail & Hops Brewers Festival will be Aug. 25 at the Glenn Miller Gardens from 6 to 11 p.m.

More information is here.
Live music will be provided by Danimal Planet, Caleb and the Gents, Solar Moonshine, Ashley and the X’s, Okinawa and Johnny Balik.
Proceeds from the event will benefit SoundCorps, a nonprofit dedicated to “growing the music economy in the Chattanooga region.” The organization devotes energies to “building local music industry infrastructure and professional expertise through ongoing programs, events and initiatives.”
Officials with the Chattanooga Choo-Choo have been working to update the former Choo-Choo Gardens — now Glenn Miller Gardens — behind Terminal Station. The gardens now feature more lawn space, several new retail operations and a more inviting atmosphere overall.
The Glenn Miller Gardens will also host the popular Tennessee Whiskey Festival on Sept. 15. Previously, the festival was held in May at the First Tennessee Pavilion.
